This ready-to-use KS3 Cover lesson worksheet, adapted from my Charles Darwin resource, helps students develop their understanding of the theory of evolution and the process of peer review through clear explanations and structured activities.

Designed for independent learning, it supports smooth delivery during teacher absences and requires minimal input from a substitute or non-specialist teacher. The worksheet is fully editable, allowing you to tailor it to your students and the time available.

This is the 2nd in a series of lessons and covers the content from the AQA KS3 3.10.3 Evolution topic and the Activate 2 (OUP) 10b: Genes, 10.3.2 Charles Darwin lesson.

While primarily written for UK students using British English spellings and vocabulary, the core content and activities can be easily adapted for students in other countries with similar educational systems.

Resource includes (4 pages):

  • Teacher guide: Clear instructions on what to print and any additional items needed (e.g., graph paper or coloured pencils).
